A traditional hearing aid takes sounds from outside of our ears. After that, it will strengthen the sound and play it back to the inner ear. The bone conduction hearing aid collects sounds from the outside world and then transmit the signal to an oscillator, rather than playing the sound back to the inner ear. This oscillator vibrates against the head. The inner ear is able to pick up the ambiances and translate them as sound.

But a bone conduction hearing aid is much more effective for this condition.

If you have ear infections or eczema then you may be unable to wear conservative hearing aids, so that you will need to look at using a bone conduction hearing aid. If your ear canal is restricted, or narrower than normal then a bone conduction hearing aid may be necessary. Bone conduction hearing aid is perfectly suitable for children.

They are also great for people that suffer from impermanent hearing loss. Not so many people with hearing problems use bone conduction hearing aid, and so they can be difficult to track down. You should discuss it with your audiologist before you try any kind of hearing aid because an audiologist will take several tests to you before deciding to use a type of hearing aid. Bone conduction hearing aid is unable to perfectly reproduce sound. The sound that produce from this type of hearing aid is somewhat similar to the telephone.
